Zero-turn mower repair in Hobart, Indiana.

Commercial or homeowner. Hydro, deck, spindles, blades.

Riding mower on a lawn

Zero-turns earn their keep on big lawns and on crews that cut every day, and they get worked hard. Spindles take the hits, belts stretch, and the hydro drives that make the machine turn on a dime need clean fluid and a careful eye.

We service both homeowner and commercial zero-turns. On a tune-up we go through the engine, the deck and the drives: plugs, filters, oil, belt condition, spindle bearings, blade balance and hydro fluid. If one side pulls or the machine creeps in neutral, that is a drive adjustment or a hydro issue, and we tell you which before we go further.

For crews, downtime is money, so tell us when you book if the machine is on a route and we will give you a straight answer on the day. The price goes on the tag before the work starts, same as every machine in the shop.

Every machine gets an M6 tag when it comes in. Book a drop-off, or read how the three steps work.

What we check on a zero-turn mower

  1. 01Hydro drive fluid, filters and neutral adjustment
  2. 02Spindle bearings for play and noise
  3. 03Deck belt, pump belt and idler tension
  4. 04Blade edge, balance and bolt torque
  5. 05Engine plugs, air filter, oil and fuel
  6. 06Deck level and anti-scalp rollers
  7. 07Battery, charging and safety switches
  8. 08Tire pressure, because uneven tires give an uneven cut

What usually is wrong

  • Pulls to one side or creeps in neutral: drive linkage or hydro adjustment
  • Deck vibration or a growl: worn spindle bearings
  • Blades stop under load: worn deck belt or a weak spring on the idler
  • Will not start: fuel, battery or a seat and brake safety switch
  • Streaks in the cut: dull blades, wrong blade height or a plugged deck
  • Weak on one drive: low hydro fluid, a tired pump or a slipping belt

Zero-turn mower questions

Do you work on commercial zero-turns?

Yes. Commercial and homeowner units both come through the shop. Tell us on the booking form if the mower is on a crew route so we can plan the bench time around it.

One side of my zero-turn is weaker than the other. What is that?

Most often a drive adjustment or a hydro issue on that side. We check fluid, belts and linkage first, then tell you what it needs and what it costs before doing anything.

Can you sharpen and balance zero-turn blades?

Yes, all of them, and we check the spindles while the blades are off. Drop the whole mower or just the blades. Call or text (219) 781-3814 to set it up.

Bring the zero-turn mower in.

Drop it off. Pick it up running. Book online, or call or text and we will set a time.
